Discover Sign Language with Me! (Audience: Parents, Parents-to-be & Educators of Infant - Toddlers): Workshop includes discovering basic infant/toddler sign language along to songs, tummy-time, finger plays, and movement, & literature. Target areas: Communication between caregiver and child,
Second Language Learners (Audience: Parents, Preschool and PK - 2nd Grade Educators): Tips on building a bridge between the First Language and Second Language.
Homeschool SOS for Homeschool Educators (Audience: Homeschool Educators working with 4 -7 yrs of age): Workshop includes "organic" planning with the child's interest and level at the center. Target areas: Emphasizing the "home" in "homeschooling! by using the home, real world topics and surrounding community to guide learning via inquiry, discovery & exploration!
Getting Ready for Baby (Audience: Parents-to-be, Parents of Infants & Young Toddlers): Building the brain for language, learning and beyond while building a bond with baby! Target areas: Power of observation, Caregivers on "same page," Power of communication via touch, and understanding where empathy begins.
School Selection Process (Audience: Parents of Infants - Preschoolers): This is a one-on-one consultation where we will discover: Your vision. What to look for. Where to start looking. Target area: create an individual checklist and plan for school visits.
Developmentally Appropriate Discipline & Guidance for Parents & Educators of Young Learners (Audience: Parents, Caregivers Educators of PK 4 - 2nd Grade Age): The workshop includes discovering "why kids do what they do" and "what I, the adult, must do" to support the building of self and inner discipline. We will explore tips, including the use of music, movement, modeling, and coaching to support the development social skills and inner-discipline!
Discover My Voice! Discover My Story! From Story Time to Story Telling to Story Writing! (Audience: Preschool - Second Grade Educators/Parents): This workshop includes discovering best instructional practices for deveoloping listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In this workshop the participant will take away strategies that will guide children to derive meaning and have a purpose for learning letter sounds and symbols, connect what they say to what is recorded on paper and then used to tell their story. These tips will support the young learner see how letters are written to preserve and share a message! Target areas: I. Developmentally appropriate method in building a connection between letter sounds, letter names and how they are used to create & share a message. II. Open ended and creative thinking opportunity. III. Power of communication via listening, speaking, reading, & writing.
